Dennis to Pilot Carry In / Carry Out Beach Trash Program

Harborview and Raycroft Beaches

From the Town of Dennis:

CARRY IN/CARRY OUT TRASH PROGRAM AT DEPOT ST., HARBORVIEW, AND RAYCROFT BEACHES

The Town of Dennis, Beach Committee and Department of Public Works, are pleased to announce they are piloting a carry in and carry out policy for trash at three (3) Dennis beaches.

Effective immediately, the Depot St., Harborview, and Raycroft Beaches will have a carry in/ carry out policy for trash. There will be no trash receptacles at these locations for the 2019 summer season.

The areas will be posted with corresponding signage to inform patrons as they walk on to these beaches. This is a trial program for these locations and has been adopted in the past at other recreational and park areas.

As a reminder, the Dennis Beaches opened for the season on Memorial Day weekend for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, and will be open the weekend of June 1st thru 2nd. The beaches will be open 7 days a week from Saturday, June 8th to Monday, September 2nd, 2019.

For more information, please contact Dustin Pineau of the Beach Department at 508-760-6159 or David Johansen of the Department of Public Works at 508-760-6220.
