48th Annual Strawberry Festival in Bourne

Bourne, MA: It’s that time of year… the Annual Strawberry Festival is happening at Aptucxet Trading Post! Bring the whole family down to celebrate the tradition of Strawberry Day, started by Beth Bourne 48 years ago!  Shop around the Craft Fair, tour the grounds &historic buildings and enjoy a delicious strawberry shortcake with homemade biscuits & fresh whipped cream!

New this year: the Aptucxet Garden Club will be selling plants! These live, ready-to-go plants will be for sale in the Lyons Family Pavilion during the festival. The Strawberry Festival this year will also include a Craft Fair featuring local artisans displaying and selling their products!

All the historic buildings on the site will be open including the Aptucxet Trading Post, the Grover Cleveland Train Station and the Joseph Jefferson Windmill. The Windmill is currently featuring a special exhibit – the Windmill Carousel! This 6-horse carousel created by local artist Lance Shinkle with hand carved horses and paintings by the artist, is run by a single person operating a bicycle apparatus. Come and take a ride on this amazing work of art!

Cost: Free admission! Strawberry shortcakes will be for sale, as well as various craft and artisan items.

This family-friendly event will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Museums at Aptucxet; 6 Aptucxet Rd., Bourne, MA 02532.
