Home Modification and Safety: Creating A Better Home for Aging-in-Place

June 19th at the Brewster Ladies Library

The Brewster Council on Aging is pleased to announce a workshop on home modification and safety for elders living in their own homes on June 19, 2019 at 6:30 at the Brewster Ladies Library.  This is the first workshop in the "Homes for A Lifetime Series” that will examine the four junctures at which decisions about housing may be needed.

Most older adults (90%) want to remain in their current home and never move.  A Certified Aging-in-Place specialist will discuss strategies for enhancing safety, comfort and independence throughout the home, including simple and moderate cost measures that can make the home age-friendly and age-ready.

     June 19, 6:30 to 8:00 pm
     Brewster Ladies Library Auditorium
