Sandwich Sailors and Sail Cape Cod Partnering to Host Special Olympics Sailing Program This Summer

First practice is June 25th

HYANNIS – The Sandwich Sailors Special Olympics community program and Sail Cape Cod are teaming up this summer to launch an inaugural sail program for individuals with intellectual disabilities. There will be approximately 10 athletes participating and training for multiple weeks in preparation for the Special Olympics Massachusetts Sailing Regatta on Saturday, July 27th on the Boston Harbor. The athletes are looking forward to their first practice with Sail Cape Cod on Tuesday, June 25th at the Gateway docks in Hyannis.

In order for Special Olympics Massachusetts to provide year-round sports and training opportunities at no cost to the athletes or families, we need to work together to collectively fundraise to offset program costs. We ask that you please consider making a donation to benefit this new sailing program on Cape Cod which we hope will become a model program in the community for years to come.
