Senator Markey to Host Green New Deal Town Hall Meeting in Dennis

Washington (June 20, 2019) – Senator Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.) will hold a town hall discussion in Dennis on Saturday, June 22 on his Green New Deal resolution. Senator Markey introduced the resolution in February with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-N.Y.) and outlined a bold and transformational set of principles to transition to 100 percent clean, renewable, and zero-emitting energy; create millions of jobs; and repair the historic oppression of frontline and vulnerable communities that have born the worst burdens of our fossil fuel economy. Senator Markey will take questions from the audience and share more information on his work in the U.S. Senate combatting the climate crisis.
