Yarmouth Operation Safe Ride Home Activates 8 P.M. Fourth of July

Free, safe ride home from any Yarmouth licensed liquor establishment...

From Yarmouth Police Department:

YPD Teams Up with Town Taxi for Operation Safe Ride Home Independence Day

Thanks to financial donations from various businesses leaders and community members in Yarmouth, Operation Safe Ride Home will be active from 8:00PM to 2:00AM on Thursday, July 4, 2019.

Anyone who needs a free and safe ride home from a Yarmouth licensed liquor establishment should call our partners at Town Taxi directly at 508.775.5555.

Drunk driving is a very serious crime with often tragic consequences. Do not drink and drive and if you need a ride home take advantage of this highly successful program which will provide citizens with a free ride home.

We encourage all Yarmouth and other Cape Cod drivers to look out for each other. Don't let others drive drunk, and don't tolerate those who do, or ride with them.

Drinking and driving injures or kills a driver every day.

If you see an impaired driver call 911 and help keep our citizens and visitors safe.

We thank our business leaders and concerned citizens for partnering with us with financial support to keep this successful lifesaving program active throughout this special night on Cape Cod.

Please be smart and be safe and best wishes to all as we safely celebrate the birth of our great Nation in the town of Yarmouth.

Steven G. Xiarhos
Deputy Chief of Police
