NWS: A Warm, Humid Friday

Showers possible Saturday afternoon...

Another hot day is ahead with highs in the 80s to around 90, although the humidity will be low. If you're planning to spend the day at the beach, highs will top out in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Don't forget the sunscreen and remember to stay hydrated!

It will be hot and noticeably more humid on Saturday with highs once again in the 80s to around 90. Showers and thunderstorms are expected during the afternoon and at night before a cold front crosses the region.

Be aware that thunderstorms will be capable of producing torrential rainfall which could cause flooding.

The holiday weekend will end on a cooler and less humid note with plenty of sunshine and highs in the 70s to lower 80s.

Tonight
A slight chance of showers before 2am, then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms between 2am and 3am. Patchy dense fog after 11pm. Otherwise, increasing clouds, with a low around 68. South wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Saturday
A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 5pm. Patchy fog before 11am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 79. Southwest wind 10 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 8pm and 3am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3am. Patchy fog before 3am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 66. Southwest wind 6 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
