GoFundMe Campaign Launched for Sgt. Sturgis' Family

Raised $260 of a $1,000 goal as of 07:10 a.m. Thursday

A GoFundMe campaign has been organized for departed Barnstable Police Sergeant Jason Sturgis and his family.  As of 7:10 a.m. Thursday morning $260 had been raised towards a goal of $1,000.

The campaign's description reads:

The Barnstable Police Department has been humbled by the outpouring of support for Sergeant Jason Sturgis and his family. Sergeant Sturgis was married with three young children at the time of his sudden and unexpected passing. We have had several phone calls and visitors to the department asking how they can help the Sturgis family financially. A fund has been set up through the Barnstable Police Association to assist the Sturgis Family.
