From the Mass DCR:

Effective immediately, the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) is restricting public access to the Cape Cod Rail Trail, because of potential downed powerlines, hazardous trees, and other debris impacted by a severe weather event that occurred in the area earlier today. Due to safety risks, the public will not have access to the Cape Cod Rail Trail until the agency officially re-opens the property at a later date. Currently, the DCR and utility companies are assessing the area. Additionally, agency parking lots will be closed, and may be used as possible staging areas for repairs.
