Next Eastham Citizen Police Academy Class Forming

Classes start September 10th

Editor's Note - One of our reporters attended a Citizen Police Academy over the winter and it was time very well spent.

On Tuesday, September 10, 2019, and continuing for 10 weeks, the Eastham Police will be conducting the 10th session of our Citizen Police Academy at the Eastham Police facility.

Participants will be introduced to all phases of the police profession as well as the Criminal Justice System.

Beginning on week one with the history of the Eastham Police Department and the administration of the department, the academy will explore topics such as constitutional law issues, police patrol and its function, criminal investigations, specialty units, and use of force and firearms.

The class will be limited to 15 seats so that interaction and hands-on activities can be maximized.
