COA Daytrip DestinationLet’s Go to the Beach! ~ Harding's Beach & Picnic Lunch

Wednesday, September 11th

September is still a beautiful month to go to the beach on Cape Cod, and arguably a perfect time to enjoy what the shore has to offer, as the bulk of summer vacationers head home, we can take this opportunity to relax.  Come with us to enjoy a morning of salt air breezes and sunshine warmth as we set up on Harding's Beach. We will have a canopy set up for those that want to take a break from the sunshine, but please bring your own chairs and blankets, sunscreen, hats, even consider a light weight long sleeved sweatshirt, depending on the temperature that day. The Beach is not lifeguarded at this time of the year, so swimming would be at your own risk.  You are welcome to pack your own lunch, but we are also offering an opportunity for participants to purchase a boxed lunch in advance.  The Bus will depart the COA at 9:30am.  Transportation is FREE. Boxed Lunches need to be reserved advance, through our office, and are at the diner’s cost.  Reservations for the trip, or lunch are required.  (Rain Date September 25th). Call the COA at 508-945-5190 for more information, and to reserve your spot

FREE ~ Yoga for Grief Care at the COA...

 Wednesday September 11th, at 1pm

Come join Peggy Wilbur, LICSW, Social Work and Bereavement Counselor from Broad Reach

Hospice, the 2nd Wednesday of the Month, starting, from 1-2pm, and release the emotions associated with grief and loss of any type. What is Yoga for Grief Care? This program uses yoga, movement, breath and sound to release pain and suffering. Grief Yoga combines many forms of yoga, movement, and breath techniques to help students process grief and use it as fuel for healing. This practice is not as much about physical flexibility as it is about emotional release. Students become aware of the present moment and where they hold struggle or pain in the body and mind. This compassionate space helps express and release struggles through movement, breath and sound in exercises and flowing meditations. In this way, students may let go of pain and reconnect to love and the gift of life. Reservations are required.  Space is Limited. Call the COA for more information at 508-945-5190.
