Eastham Police Announce Route 6 Detour for Windmill Parade

Traffic detoured off Route 6 from 1 p.m to 2:30 p.m.

From the Eastham Police Department:

On Sunday September 8, 2019 the Town Of Eastham will be holding its annual Windmill Weekend Parade. As a result of the parade the following detours will be in place.

Beginning at 1:00 pm and continuing until 2:30 all traffic will be detoured off of Route 6 Northbound at the intersection with Samoset Road and Southbound at the intersection with Great Pond Road.

Officers will be stationed at various intersections to direct motorists through the detour, but we are asking motorists to be aware of the parade route and detour and to avoid travel in this area if possible.

Old Orchard Road will be closed from Rt. 6 to the Eastham Transfer Station beginning at 11:30am for parade staging. Anyone seeking access to the Transfer Station during this time should do so by way of Brackett Road to Old Orchard Road.

We apologize to all motorists for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding and patience.

Please enjoy Windmill Weekend in Eastham, September 6-8, 2019
