Bicyclist Medflighted Following Crash on Cape Cod Rail Trail

Reportedly impaled by a branch...

Eastham, MA - At approximately 5 p.m. Saturday Eastham Firefighters responded to the report of an injured bicyclist on the Cape Cod Rail Trail.  

Upon arriving rescuers found a man with an abdominal injury after landing on a brach.  Reports indicate the victim may have been impaled on the branch.

The man was transported to Barnstable Municipal Airport to meet a Medflight.  

The matter remains under investigation by Eastham Police.
