Coast Guard Crews Locate Missing Boaters

Three rescued after boat failed to return from fishing excursion...

US Coast Guard Northeast reports that a missing 20 foot Wellcraft and its fishing party were located overnight aftering being reported missing.

At 1:59 a.m. USCG Northeast reported an overdue boater - Mike Ryan, out of Plymouth, MA - 39 y/o male and two kids, ages 5 and 6. The party reportedly departed the Plymouth boat ramp at 10 a.m. Sunday in a white 20-FT Wellcraft with the intention of fishing between Plymouth and Provincetown and were then expected to return to Plymouth. 

The Coast Guard reported the following units involved in the search:

Currently searching (at 1:59 a.m.) were:
-MH-60 from Air Station Cape Cod
-STA Cape Cod Canal
-STA Point Allerton
-STA Provincetown

Preparing to assist (at 1:59 a.m.):
-USCGC TYBEE
-USCGC SANIBEL
-HC-144 from Air Station Cape Cod

At 4:25 a.m., The Coast Guard reported that family and their boat have been located off Scituate, MA with no injuries reported. A boat crew from STA Point Allerton is on scene and will be towing the disabled Wellcraft to shore.
