Cape Realtor Named 2019 Massachusetts Realtor of the Year

Sotheby’s International Realty is proud to announce that Gregory Kiely, Vice President and Managing Broker of the Sotheby’s International Realty Cape Cod Brokerages, was named the 2019 Massachusetts Realtor® of the Year by The Massachusetts Association of Realtors® (MAR.) Kiely was presented the award at MAR’s Professional Awards Reception, which was held in September at the MGM Springfield in Springfield, Mass.

The state’s Realtor® of the Year is selected annually from among the nominees of the 13 local associations of Realtors® and more than 25,000 Realtors® in Massachusetts. Judging for the award is based on volunteerism to the Realtor® organization on the local, state, and national levels, service to the local community, and business accomplishments.

“Greg Kiely is a dedicated Realtor® volunteer and truly deserving of being named 2019 Realtor® of the Year,” said 2019 MAR President Anne Meczywor, broker/associate at Roberts & Associates Realty Inc. In Lenox. “Greg is involved in all levels of the Realtor® Association, as well as in his community. His efforts have benefited many.”

A Realtor® since 2005, Kiely has been a member of MAR Board of Directors since 2012, is currently the Cape Cod Regional Representative. He is a member of the Executive Committee, Leadership Development Committee, and the Professional Standards Committee. He has recently served on the Audit Committee and the Strategic Planning Task Force.

On the local level, Kiely is serving as president-elect of Cape Cod and Islands Association of Realtors® (CCIAOR) and Cape Cod & Islands Multiple Listing Service (CCIMLS). He served as treasurer in 2018 and is a currently a member of the Cape Cod Association’s Executive Committee. Kiely served on the Board of Directors of the Greater Boston Association of Realtors® from 2011 to 2016. Kiely has also previously served on the Greater Boston Association of Realtors® Professional Standards, Grievance, Government Affairs, Technology, Programming, Publications and Strategic Planning Committees.

On the national level, Kiely is serving on the 2019 Resort and Second Home Real Estate Committee.

Kiely is a Realtors Political Action Committee Major Investor and is a graduate of the MAR and CCIAOR Leadership Academies.
