From State Rep. Tim Whelan (R-Brewster):
Friends, I posted yesterday that I delievered remarks on the House floor in support of H.4203 "An Act requiring the hands-free use of mobile telephones while driving". Below is a video of those remarks.
As one of the six members of the Conference Committee assigned to resolve differences between the House and Senate versions of the bill, several months of hard work with my fellow conferees to arrive at a consensus resulted in the passage of this bill by a margin of 154-1 in the House. This bill is being voted on today in the Senate and will hopefully be laid before the Governor forthwith. I am grateful for your continued support of the work we are doing and it remains my great honor to serve.
