34 Sea Turtles Rescued So Far this Season in Barnstable

Our own Seasonal Shellfish Assistant Lisa Ariel was part of the team that rescued the first loggerhead stranded on Cape Cod this season.

The loggerhead was found at Harris Meadow and weighed between 50 and 60 pounds.

So far this season, Barnstable Natural Resources staff and volunteers have rescued 32 Kemp’s Ridley Turtles, 1 Green Turtle and 1 Loggerhead!
