Letter - "Juvenile Temper Tantrum...at The Expense of Cape Cod Taxpayers"

Editor:

Regarding the Wednesday, November 20th vote by the Barnstable County Assembly of Delegates on whether or not to move forward with the proposal to eliminate the County Commissioners failed miserably by a vote of about 55% to 24% with Patrick Princi, the Barnstable Delegate (with a weighted vote of 21%) being absent from the process.

From my viewpoint, the attempted regional government power grab by some infantile and self-absorbed members of the Assembly was tantamount to a juvenile temper tantrum being acted out at the expense of Cape Cod taxpayers and other County elected officials, like the Board of County Commissioners who actually do the job that the voters elected them to do.

Thank you.

RON BEATY, Barnstable County Commissioner
