Supporters of President Trump gathered at the Hyannis Airport Rotary yesterday in a show of support and defiance as Democrats advanced impeachment charges against the president. The turnout of sixty supporters was the group's largest to date. Participants say the response from Hyannis commuters was positive.
Adam Lange, event leader and candidate for Cape & Islands Republican State Committeeman noted the solid base of support for the president on Cape Cod. "Barnstable County had the highest percent of Trump voters in Massachusetts. The fact that they feel unrepresented is why I am running. If elected, I will have our Republican representatives here supporting our president. That doesn't happen today, and it's a failed strategy. We have lost 3,000 Republicans from the party since 2010."
Mary Lou Daxland recent past President of MA Republican Assembly, and NE Vice President of N.F.R.A. attended the event and said "The current Cape & Islands Committeeman and women are not growing the party as evidenced by the lack of Republicans winning local elections. A change is needed."
Mr. Lange reports that his next Trump stand out event is being planned for December 29th at the Bourne Bridge Rotary. Details to be released soon.
