(WELLFLEET, MA) -- Experimental pop folk artist and nine time Boston and New England Music Award winner Ruby Rose Fox will perform a tribute to her original muse and inspiration, Leonard Cohen.

Known for her striking tenor voice, Ruby sold out three shows in Boston and debuts in Chicago with Me & You & Leonard Cohen at The Study (1839 W. Fulton St). This is an intimate and stripped down performance of Cohen’s most beloved ballads and Ruby's original responses. Leonard Cohen was Ruby Rose Fox’s (whose name was also formerly Cohen) muse, inspiration for studying Zen Meditation, and of course songwriting.

Fox says, “Leonard Cohen’s music more like Shakespeare to me and will be presented as bare and raw as possible to respect the power and simplicity of Leonard Cohen’s language.” For every show Ruby has given the option of being blindfolded as a nod to Cohen’s time on as a monk on Mt. Baldy. Fox will also be presenting originals as direct response to specific Cohen songs like Dear Leonard Cohen and Hey That’s No Way to Say Goodbye.

In 2018 Ruby appeared for the first time at Wellfleet Preservation Hall to a sold out crowd. Her captivating, unique and powerful vocal range and style blew audiences away.

“Ruby Rose Fox’s unbelievable vocal power and one-of-a-kind presence makes her one of the most engaging and interesting artists we’ve hosted at the Hall. Her Cohen interpretations coupled with acoustic piano, electric violin and the beautiful acoustics of our room will make this show will be truly special.”
