Two Alarm Fire in Falmouth Residence Overnight

From Falmouth Fire/Rescue:

At approximately 0130 Sunday morning, FFRD units were dispatched to a building fire on Gifford St.

First arriving crews found smoke and fire showing from a basement level apartment, rapidly extending to the upper floor.

A second alarm was quickly struck bringing additional apparatus to the scene. The fire was eventually controlled with no injuries to the occupants.

Thanks to the Mashpee, Bourne, Sandwich, Cotuit and Joint Base FD’s for assistance at the scene and for providing station coverage.

The fire is under investigation, believed to be accidental.
