Hyannis, MA – Asset Management Resources, LLC today announces that J. Christopher “Chris” Boyd, founder and Chief Investment Officer of Asset Management Resources, was elected to the Financial Planning Association® (FPA®) Advisory Council Executive Committee.
The Financial Planning Association® (FPA®) is the principal professional organization for Certified Financial PlannerTM (CFP®) professionals, providing its 24,000 members with resources for professional education, advocacy and community. As part of the Financial Planning Association’s effort to embrace participating governance, the first One FPA Advisory Council meeting occurred recently elected seven among 86 delegates to serve on the Executive Committee. Mr. Boyd is also the delegate of the Financial Planning Association of Massachusetts to the One FPA Advisory Council and a former Chairman of FPA MA.
The Advisory Council Executive Committee’s responsibilities will include setting the agenda for the One FPA Advisory Council and making appointments to key committees, including the Financial Committee and the Nominating Committee, along with the Financial Planning Association’s Board of Directors. The FPA Board of Directors formed the Advisory Council recognizing the need to have chapter engagement in the organization for long-term planning.

Chris was awarded his Certified Financial Planner™ credential in 2004, and has earned the Chartered Advisor for Senior Living professional designation from the American College, BrynMawr, PA. He has been the owner of A.M.R. since its inception as a Registered Investment Advisor firm in 2008. Chris also hosts a weekly financial radio talk show and is a frequent public speaker. He is a past president of the local Chapter, the Financial Planning Association of Massachusetts. He is also a member of the Estate Planning Council of Cape Cod and serves on the Cape & Islands Workforce Development Board.
