PLYMOUTH, MA  - - The Arc of Plymouth and Upper Cape Cod is pleased to announce that it will celebrate the opening of its new Cape Cod office with a ribbon cutting ceremony, together with the Falmouth Chamber of Commerce. The celebration will take place at 12 noon on Friday, February 28th at 178 East Falmouth Highway in East Falmouth. Following the ceremonial ribbon cutting, guests are invited to tour the facility, learn how The Arc fulfills its mission of empowering people with disabilities and their families to belong, contribute and thrive, and enjoy some light refreshments.

In the fall of 2019, The Arc of Greater Plymouth announced it would be expanding its service area to include Cape Cod, through an agreement with the Arc of Massachusetts. Now known as The Arc of Plymouth and Upper Cape Cod, the organization proudly provides services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism and brain injuries, in Greater Plymouth County and from Bourne through Hyannis.

“The Arc is excited to celebrate the opening of our new Cape Cod office and begin providing quality services to even more people with disabilities and their families,” said Mary Valachovic, Executive Director of The Arc of Plymouth and Upper Cape Cod.

People supported by The Arc receive highly individualized services through programs such as: Adult Family Care, Agency with Choice, Individualized Home Support, Social Recreational Programs, Autism Services, Shared Living, Supported Employment, Community Based Day Supports, Family Support and Acquired Brain Injury Residential Services.
