Orleans Seeks Nomination for Good Citizenship Award

To be awarded at Town Meeting...

Orleans 2020 Citizen Recognition Program

Town Seeks Nominations

Each year at the Annual Town Meeting in May, the Town honors one of its citizens with the Orleans Good Citizenship Award. This award is made by the Board of Selectmen on behalf of the citizens of the Town, but the nominations come from the public.

Selection is based on Orleans residents and all aspects of good citizenship.  Selection criteria may include volunteer service, significant contributions or accomplishments, or positive impact on the Town and its residents.

Who do you think deserves the award this year?

Nomination Forms for the 2020 Citizen Recognition Program are available at Town Hall, Snow Library, the Senior Center or printable (see attachment below). The award will be presented at Town Meeting on May 11, 2020.

Please fill out the Nomination Form and submit it by March 19th, 2020 in a sealed envelope to Orleans Town Administrator and Selectmen’s Office at 19 School Rd., Orleans, MA 02653. This envelope should be clearly marked “2020 Citizen Award Nominations.”

For more information, call the Town Administrator & Selectmen’s Office at 240-3700, ext. 2415.
