So penned John Adams and it is as true today as it was when it was published in his 7th “Novanglus” letter. In other words, the government must rule on established law and not emotion which is exactly what the race-baiters and the anti-gun left is trying to do in regards to George Zimmerman.
Second degree murder, a charge that will be extremely difficult, if not impossible to prove, was handed down in an indictment by Angela Corey after she "prayed" with Treyvon Martin’s family. One has to wonder if it is little more than "Bread and Circuses " to appease the angry masses or a shameful re-election ploy.
So let’s sift through the moonbat bullshit and get to the facts.
*George Zimmerman was "expressly told" not to follow Martin.
The civilian dispatcher’s suggestion is not a lawful order that Mr. Zimmerman would be required to follow, even if it were, there is no evidence that he acted to the contrary.
*Neighborhood Watch members aren’t allowed to carry guns.
Private, law-abiding citizens have a Constitutional right to protect themselves and the Neighborhood Watch bunk will be irrelevant to the case in the court room, so I'm not even sure why anyone even bothers to bring it up.
* It is reported that obese Zimmerman outweighed the skinny Trayvon by 100 lbs. or so.
Here is what “obese Zimmerman” looked like in court.
*White vigilante Zimmerman was the aggressor thus the “Stand Your Ground” statute does not apply.
Although it is yet to be proven, even if it were, Florida vs. Gallo disagrees.
Here is what the State of Florida must prove beyond a reasonable doubt:
1) The victim is dead;
2) The death was caused by the criminal act of the defendant;
3) There was an unlawful killing of the victim by an act imminently dangerous to another and demonstrating a depraved mind without regard for human life.
Now here is what the prosecution has to disprove beyond a reasonable doubt:
Zimmerman’s statement that he had lost sight of Trayvon and was returning to his truck to meet the police officer when he was attacked by Martin.
A witnesses’ statement , “The guy on the bottom [Zimmerman] who had a red sweater on was yelling to me: ‘help, help…and I told him [Martin] to stop and I was calling 911.”
Officer Timothy Smith’s statement that Zimmerman's back was wet and covered in grass and that Zimmerman was "bleeding from the nose and the back of the head".
Then there is this pesky little statute:
776.032 Immunity from criminal prosecution and civil action for justifiable use
(1) A person who uses force as permitted in s. 776.012, s. 776.013, or s. 776.031 is
justified in using such force and is immune from criminal prosecution and civil action for the use of such force…
Second degree murder.....reasonable.....I doubt it.
