You Say "Island" Like It's a Bad Thing

"Oops. Stupid me."
Joe Quigley

"A word to the wise ain't necessary - it's the stupid ones that need the advice."
Bill Cosby

Recently a so called journalist took umbrage at being called a liberal, called this by whom I am not sure. Wasn’t on here, as the term is rarely used unless referring to George W. Bush and the like,  compassionate conservative/bleeding heart liberal….same sh*t/different bucket.

Being a daily published citizen blogger/journalist, one would think constructing a cognizant argument for Obama’s reelection wouldn’t be a complex task, evidently I thought wrong. Instead what we are given is a user generated website “Obama’s Achievement Center” and yes I did enjoy the read, specifically…..

* Appointed first black Attorney General, Eric Holder.

WOW, what an accomplishment! Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice [43's SoSs 1 + 2] didn’t count as they were just “House Ni99ers”, affectionately called “Uncle Tom” and “Aunt Jemimah” by the party of tolerance.

*Appointed two pro-choice women to the Supreme Court.

SHOCKER! Would anyone have expected anything less?

*Stopped defending DOMA in court.

Who needs to uphold the Constitution anyway?

*Advanced women's rights in the work place.

No, he signed a bill extending the statute of limitations.

*Invested in clean energy.

How about squandered billions in taxpayer money on failed enterprises owned by his donors and cronies.

Well if this is considered research in the elite world of academia allow me to offer:

A Comprehensive list of Obama's Failures, because if it's on the internet it must be true.

Somehow the accomplishment page left out.....

Took unemployment from  7.8% to 7.8% in only 3.5 years at a cost of  only $5 trillion.

Between 2008 and 2010, the number of  able-bodied adults getting on food stamps doubled—from 1.9 million to 3.9 million, according to CRS. (47 million= 1 in 7Americans.)

1 in every 730 housing units received a foreclosure filing in September 2012

Anyone remember how GHWB was crucified for not knowing the price of a loaf of bread and being out of touch?

And Joey, a little help on the research.....even if I lived on, oh, say, an island, which I do,  WXTK doesn't make it this far over the airways, palm trees and iguanas are indigenous  and the city I live in has a population of 165,521 [2010] and is part of the South Florida metropolitan area, which has a population of 5,564,635 [2010]. It may not be the megalopolis that Barnstable is but there is no news blackout.

Is living on an island a bad thing? I rather like it.

East view.....

West view.....
