Human Rights for Dummies

“To mention the wind turbines on Thomas Landers Road as an issue of "human rights" against this background is actually much worse than hyperbole, it is dishonest and disrespectful of the real suffering others have had to endure.”

Richard K. Latimer

Well Counselor, perhaps you should write your Senior Senator, Messrs Guangcheng and Benson,  the following organizations, the Huff Po.....even the the owner of Cape Cod Today (not a Rupert Murtaug publication btw) for being dishonest and disrespectful, seeing how they somehow seem to agree that human rights have a vastly larger scope than your ignorant knee-jerk reactionary claim.

Seems you don't need to look any further than cc2day to educate youself on what human rights encompasses, that is unless you're as dumb as that old tree stump in your backyard!

“Fair treatment for persons with disabilities is a human rights issue like any other.”

Senator John F. Kerry

“The U.S.--which was instrumental in negotiating the CRPD--can continue to advance both its principles and issues of practical accessibility for its citizens and all people around the world, and by ratifying the treaty, so take its rightful place of leadership in the arena of human rights."

Chen Guangcheng

Not to mention the following which seems applicable to the topic.....

“Rights are either God-given as part of the divine plan, or they are granted by government as part of the political plan. If we accept the premise that human rights are granted by government, then we must be willing to accept the corollary that they can be denied by government.”

Ezra Taft Benson

So I have to ask of the self-proclaimed smartest man alive.....
