Recently, this column ran a piece on efforts to help out the family of Evangeline Fox, a sweet little girl who is suffering from Leukemia.
Evangeline's mom is struggling to handle all the expenses that come up when your child is sick, and we essentially went trolling for angels in this column.
The best part about trolling is that you pull up a fish now and then.
Robert Fellows of the Masonic Angel Foundation (Inc.) contacted my people, we made crossed a few Ts, and Evangeline's family was given over $200 in gasoline cards. This fuel is so important to Evangeline's mom, who has to do a lot of daily driving in order to stay with Evangeline as much as possible.
Few thing feel better than helping out someone in need. I'm a pretty heartless SOB myself, but the effect works on me, too. Being anonymous adds to the feeling for some reason that I've never really explored. The Masonic Angel Foundation is like that... but I'm not, so I thought I'd scribble up this little article to A) thank them and B) let people know that they are doing great things for people in need.
So, let's just raise our coffee mugs in honor of some people who saw a sick little girl and tried to help. Yay Masonic Angel Foundation!!!!!!!!
