Sagamore Bridge Delays Start Today [Nor'easter Blues]

One Lane In Each Direction

The Sagamore Bridge will be undergoing repairs today, and there will be lane restictions in place until the project is completed.

An $8.5 million US Army Corps of Engineers project is doing extensive repairs on both the Sagamore and Bourne Bridges. This time, it's Sagamore. They're repairing some steel on the bridge.

The project is expected to run through early May. Work will stop to favor holiday traffic on both Easter and Patriot Day weekends (April 7-8 and April 14-16). It should all be cleared up before Memorial Day.

Each direction going over the Sagamore Bridge will have one lane closed. Look for sizable rush-hour delays. The lane closures are a 24/7 thing, too.

Also... we have some stubborn fog out there, and visibility is somewhat reduced. It should clear up by noon or so.
