Dense Fog Warning

In Effect Until 9 AM...

I don't have a camera with me, so you'll have to take me at my word... but the fog is terrible this morning. The National Weather Service has issued a Dense Fog Advisory.

Just so you can have a visual idea.... I went to Marylou's in Sagamore (at the Sorrenti's Shell station at the mainland approach to the Sagamore Bridge), getting myself a large Almond Joy with c/s.... and when I came out, I was unable to see the Sagamore Bridge.... which is a touch disconcerting, as I was essentially ON the Sagamore Bridge.

I'm not a pilot or anything skilled, but I'd estimate the visibility in Sagamore to be about 100-150 yards, maybe less.

As things would have it, this fog will be there as your kids go to the bus stop, and drivers won't see them until they hear a thump under their cars.... so dress them in school bus yellow or trolling-for-bears pink or Baywatch orange or something, k? I hate writing "Child Crushed By Mack Truck " stories, especially during football season.

Also... it would also be a very bad day for a less-than-experienced boater to be driving the Chris Craft around,.... might end up hitting the Cape Cod Mall or something, the fog is that bad.

The advisory runs through 9 AM, at which point the sun should burn all of this off. It should still be a fairly murky day, so be forewarned.
