The Sun Flare Apology [Sea Street]

Pardon Me While I Apologize Again.  Last Saturday evening I was watching the Sarah Palin nonsense with my wife, Karen, until 9:30 when I switched over to the Dave Rojay Show on Channel 17 to see my tribute to Lou Colombo that I had edited earlier in the week.  But to my utter shock and astonishment, I saw instead girls on the beach in bikinis.  The station was playing the wrong program.

I wrote a blog that very evening apologizing to all of the twenty-one hundred plus people who had read my blog about Lou’s tragic accident, a blog in which I promised a tribute to Lou on my regularly scheduled Saturday evening show.  The subsequent blog was highly critical of the staff at Cape Cod Media Center.

However, it was explained to me yesterday, Monday, March 12, by a member of the Cape Cod Media Center, that the problem with the Saturday evening show was caused by sun flares

Sun flares?” I repeated.

“Yes, there was lots of activity on the sun and that caused the wrong program to be shown.”

And so, tomorrow night, Wednesday, March 14, the tribute to Lou Colombo will be shown at 11:00 p.m. on Channel 17.  In addition, it will be shown again on Saturday evening at 9:30.

And so, I apologize to the staff at Cape Cod Media Center for my grumpy blog.  I suppose I should also make a sacrifice to the Mayan Gods who, in addition to predicting the end of the world on the next winter solstice, have singled me out among all other men to be the recipient of Sun Flares

P.S. My next blog will be titled “A Little Humor, Please” and will take up the matter of the four Republican clowns running for President.
