Bruins 6, Tampa Bay 5
The Boston Bruins evened their Eastern Conference finals series at a game apiece after a 6-5 win over Tampa Bay.
Tyler Seguin had a pair of goals to lead the B's. Seguin, the #2 overall pick in last year's draft, has been held to a minimal role this season. Injuries forced him into the lineup, and he has been twitching the twine ever since.
He had a goal in the game 1 loss, and he exploded last night, garnering 2 goals and 2 dimes. I can't see how they can keep him out of the lineup now.
Tampa Bay had been undefeated for 27 days of games against hockey's best, but the coach-n-four turned into a pumpkin last night. They launched a furious rally, but Boston held on for the Dub.
Michael Ryder also had a pair of goals, and Nathan Horton had a goal and two aassists. David Krejci also had a goal. Tim Thomas was one goal better than his Lightning counterpart.
The series resumes Thursday night, in Florida.
Red Sox Rained Out
The game between the Boston Red Sox and the Baltimore Orioles last night was rained out. We'll get back to you with the re-schedulement, if that's a word.
