NFL Week 7 Schedule, Odds, Predictions

Pats vs Jets In Critical Match For First Place

1 PM

Tennessee at Buffalo (-3.5), 46.5

Buffy needs this game to maintain the 4 way tie for first in the AFC East, while Tennessee needs this game so that they can, at worst, pretend that they are in the AFC South race.  Chris Johnson has tallied up 300 rushing yards and 0 Tds in 6 games, and he's considered to be the focus of their offense.

Buffalo, 13-10

  Arizona at Minnesota (-6.5), 40.5

Maybe I'm sensitive because they whipped New England earlier this season, but that seems to be some mad point spread disrespeck for Arizona, no matter who is hurt.

Minnesota, 17-14

  Cleveland at Indianapolis (-2.5), 45.5

I'm thinking Cleveland in this game, which is never a good idea. When I doubt my gut instinctive call of a game, I usually cower in the over/under.

Cleveland, 14-10

  Baltimore at Houston, (-7), 48.5

Baltimore lost like half the team, including Your Favorite Guy Who Was Sort Of Right Around A Double Murder, Ray Lewis. I still like them in this, as I don't think the Texicans are all that.

Baltimore, 21-20

Green Bay at St. Louis (+5.5), 45.5

St. Louis is improving, but there's no way they keep up with Green Bay.

GB, 34-16

  Dallas at Carolina (+2), 45.5

I'd like Cam Newton in fantasy football this week, but most of the team around him sucks.

Dallas, 20-14

Washington at NY Giants (-6), 51

Washington's new QB looks good, but they aren't ready for the postseason yet. This game proves it.

NYG, 21-3

New Orleans at Tampa Bay (+2) 49.5

New Orleans scores points in bunches, but they give them up in bigger bunches. They're 1-4, but they're better than that. It will show against the Bucs.

New Orleans, 30-10

 4 PM

NY Jets at New England (-10.5), 47.5

I don't know how we get 10 point spreads after a game where we were helpless against a NFC West lightweight team. I think this game will buy Sanchez another week from being TeBenched, as he picks apart our awful secondary.

New England can't cover anyone, they have a one man pass rush who was living in a dorm at this time last year, we don't have a wide receiver who can go deep and beat a cornerback of any worth, and Tom Brady is getting weak protection.

We have some talent and it may yet gel, but we'r ea .500 team right now. The Jets know that, and- if they're going to have one inspired game this year- they should come out ready to kill.

The Jets have enough problems that I can't pick them to win with any good conscience, but I can pick them to be closer than that very optimistic point spread.

New England, 23-17

  Jacksonville at Oakland (-6), 44

I think the other football network is showing baseball ("Are they still playing that?"), so this is the only other game. No NFC stuff to check out during commercials.

Oakland, 14-13

 8:30 PM

 Pittsburgh at Cincinnati (+1), 45.5

Cincy lost to an awful CLeveland team last week, and even an aging Steelers team should take them to the woodshed like Biden/Ryan.

Pittsburgh, 20-6

 Monday, 8:30

 Detroit at Chicago (-6.5), 47.5

I think Chicago is good-not-great, and Detroit should be able to force a shootout and outscore them.
