Cleon M. Paige, 86, of Bridgewater and formerly of Brockton passed away peacefully after a Brief illness. He was the Son of the late Morris and Edith (Griffin) Paige, Cleon grew up in Hanover and after graduating from Hanover High School he joined the US Army. He served during Korea, was stationed stateside as Corporal and married Suzanne G. (Gilpin) Paige on Oct. 26, 1952 and the two raised their four loving daughters in Brockton. Cleon worked for many years as a production manager for HP HOOD and later became a financial planner for IDS in Braintree. He had a great sense of humor, got a kick out of his jokes, and cherished the time with his family, grandkids, and close friends and friends from Heritage Circle in Bridgewater.
Loving husband of 62 years to Suzanne G. Paige of Bridgewater and devoted father of Patti A. Gerrior and her husband Jim of Brockton, Joanne C. O'Connor and her husband Peter of Bridgewater, Lauri J. Uto and her husband Don of Brockton, and Carolyn J. Youngworth and her husband James of Easton. Loving Grandfather of Katelyn, Michael, Danielle, Ryan, Alex, Jacob, and Great-Grandfather of Blake. Brother of the late Pauline Washburn, Eunice Turner, Marion Wells, and Kenneth Sherman Paige. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Family and friends are invited to the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. Bridgewater on Sun. July 5th at 4pm. A visitation period will begin at 2pm and the burial will be held privately at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
