John “Jack” Lynch, 72, of Bridgewater died on July 13, 2015 after a long illness surrounded by his loving family at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Claire (Lucier) Lynch of Bridgewater and the son of the late John T. Lynch Sr. and Eleanor (Smith) Lynch.
Jack worked as a Grocery Manager for Stop and Shop Supermarkets and was employed with them for 50 years. He enjoyed being with his friends playing poker, bocce, and shuffleboard and was also a past member of the Elks Lodge in Brockton. He loved spending time in Florida with his wife and he was adored by his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Jack is survived by his wife, Claire Lynch of Bridgewater; his children, Laura Bellofatto and her husband Joseph of Norwell, Scott Noonan and his Fiancé Lisa DeVoy of Weymouth, and Michael Noonan and his wife Elizabeth of Weymouth; his sisters, Eleanor Yenush and her husband Leonard of Bridgewater and Madeleine Small of Avon. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St., Bridgewater on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 8:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 AM at St. Ann’s Church, 103 N. Main St., West Bridgewater. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in West Bridgewater.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday July 16, 2015 from 4 PM-7 PM at the funeral home.
