Scott “Scottie” Craig Truax, Jr. of Falmouth left us unexpectedly on July 9th at the age of 31.
He faced many struggles in his short life, but we know now that he is at peace. He was our sweet little boy who grew into a good man, making stops along the way to shoot a few goals, have a lot of laughs, cause some trouble, and love in excess. Scottie saw the good in everybody and could turn any situation into a funny story. His smile was infectious, he simply made people happy. We will forever miss his quick wit, mischievous grin, and his perfect dimples.
He grew up in Falmouth, where he was an all-star athlete, winning many accolades at FHS for hockey. He was always surrounded by friends, and was the life of the party. Of all of his accomplishments, however, he was most proud of his family and being a dad to Danielle and Kayden, the joys of his life. He was a loving husband and father, he really enjoyed time spent with his family.
Scott leaves behind his wife, Kerry Truax and daughters, Danielle Truax and Kayden Sanborn, as well as his mother, Susan Truax, brother, Jeremy Senecal and sister, Amanda Zac and her children, Lili and Santiago. He also leaves his paternal grandmother, Sandra Cole and many other friends and loved ones.
He was predeceased by his father, Scott C. Truax, maternal grandparents, George and Lillian Mainville, and paternal grandfather, Wesley Cole.
The visiting hours will be from 4 to 7 PM on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 main Street FALMOUTH CENTER. The graveside service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 15th at Oak Grove Cemetery, 46 Jones Road in Falmouth.
