To celebrate books that feature food, Titcomb’s Bookshop has created the “Food and a Book” series. The second year of this series begins with As Always, Julia: The Letters of Julia Child & Avis Devoto. More than 200 letters exchanged between Julia Child and Avis DeVoto opens the window on Julia’s deepest thoughts and feelings. This riveting correspondence chronicles the blossoming of a unique and lifelong friendship between the two women and the turbulent process of Julia’s creation of Mastering the Art of French Cooking, one of the most influential cookbooks ever written. Frank, bawdy, funny, exuberant, and occasionally agonized, these letters show Julia, first as a new bride in Paris, then becoming increasingly worldly and adventuresome as she follows her diplomat husband in his postings to Nice, Germany, and Norway.

Momo’s Food Emporium will bring the audience to France through decorations and cuisine. They will present a cooking demonstration as well. Reservations of $35.00 include the book, cooking demo and tasting of fine French cuisine. Momo's Food Emporium is located at 598 Route 6A, East Sandwich, Massachusetts.
