Eventide Arts announces auditions for two upcoming 2009 performances

DENNIS - Auditions for Brighton Beach Memoirs, a comedy/drama by Neil Simon, directed by Ellis Baker will be held on:

• Thursday, November 20 at 7pm
• Friday, November 21 at 7pm
• Saturday, November 22 at 9:30am

No audition preparation necessary.

Available parts:

• 1 male, 40
• two females, 38 and 40
• 2 boys, 15 and 18
• 2 girls, 13 and 16

Rehearsals begin on March 16, 2009.  There will be twelve performances, May 7-24, 2009. All actors are paid.

Auditions will be held at The Gertrude Lawrence Stage, Dennis Union Church (Please use rear entrance) at 713 Main Sreet (Route 6A) in Dennis Village.

Open auditions for Pinocchio, by William Glennon, directed by Kay DeFord will be held on:

• Wednesday, December 3 at 7pm
• Thursday, December 4 at 7pm
• Sunday, December 7 at 4pm
• Monday, December 8 at 7pm

There are a variety of exciting roles for actors (dancers, acrobats and mimes welcome, too) both male and female, ages 12-60.

No prepared material--just come prepared to improvise and have fun!

This inventive adaptation of the ageless Carlo Collodi story is loaded with the hi-jinks and fast-pacing of the commedia dell’arte and its zany characters — such as Gepetto, Fire Eater, Fox and Cat, and a wonderful Blue Fairy.

Ideal for the whole family, this non-stop adventure is both funny and unexpectedly touching.  Performance dates are February 14-22, 2009.
