Man seriously injured in Mashpee fall

MASHPEE - A man was seriously injured after falling about 10 feet onto concrete in Mashpee around 4 PM Wednesday. Rescuers called for a Medflight helicopter but bad weather grounded it so the victim was rushed to Cape Cod Hospital. Further details were not immediately available.

Yarmoith FireYARMOUTH – Firefighters were able to quickly knock down a porch fire and keep the flames from spreading into a home at 601 Route 6A in Yarmouthport. The fire broke out shortly before 4 AM. No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation.

Bicyclist airlifted after crash plunges her into canal
BOURNE – A bicyclist was flown to Rhode Island Hospital Tuesday evening after a frightening ordeal. The woman was riding her bike on the trail along the Cape Cod Canal when she apparently collided with another bike and then fell into the canal. Fortunately she did not get carried away by the current. A Lifeflight helicopter landed nearby and flew the victim to the hospital around 8:30 PM.
