The Brewster Baptist Church Holiday Fair Committee donated the entire proceeds from their 2010 fair to the Homeless Prevention Council. When the check for $30,000 was presented to Christine Austin, Executive Director of the Homeless Prevention Council, formerly known as the Interfaith Council for the Homeless of the Lower Cape, she said, "This is our Christmas miracle!"

The Brewster Baptist Church Holiday Fair Committee worked for an entire year on the event to produce such outstanding financial results. When interviewed, Chris Austin could not thank the members of the Committee and the entire Church Family enough for their extraordinary generosity. "We are so very grateful for these significant funds which will help our Case Managers deliver direct assistance to individuals, couples and families in need on the Lower and Outer Cape. The funds will be used to keep our neighbors in their homes or, if necessary, relocate them within our community. Everyone at the Homeless Prevention Council thanks the Brewster Baptist Church for enabling us to prevent homelessness with this incredibly meaningful gift."
