Local station helps Falmouth residents connect with loved ones serving in the military
On Monday, February 7 between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., Falmouth Community Television (FCTV) will conduct Operation Valentine. During the four hour time period, Falmouth residents who have friends and/or loved ones on military assignment are invited to drop by the station and record a special Valentine's message.
Participants must be either Falmouth residents or have a message to record for a Falmouth resident serving overseas. Individuals or groups of up to ten may record the 30 second messages.
The messages will air on the town's Channel 13 and on the FCTV website during Valentine's Week.
As part of Operation Valentine, FCTV is asking for snack donations including nuts, trail mix, Slim Jims, power bars and cookies for the Falmouth Military Support Group. A complete list of snack needs is available on the group's website here.
Call FCTV at 508-457-0800 during normal weekday hours to reserve at time on the 7th. Anyone under the age of 18 must have the expressed written consent of a parent or legal guardian to participate.
Falmouth Community Television is at 310 Dillingham Avenue in Falmouth.
Call or email Alecia at the station with any questions.
