Nearly 450 people participated in the 2011 Cape Abilities 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, May 14 at Hyannis Village Green. The record number of participants included some 250 runners and 38 teams.

The event raised more than $55,000 for Cape Abilities, a nonprofit organization that provides jobs, homes, transportation and support for people with disabilities across Cape Cod.

Cape Abilities would like to thank everyone who came out to enjoy the day and support the 5K. Special thanks go to event sponsors Cape Cod Broadcasting, Cape Cod Media Group, Bank of America, Citizens Bank Foundation, Rogers & Gray Insurance, LaTanzi, Spaulding & Landreth and Cape Cod Commercial Linen Service.
