Chatham resident and artist Elinor Martin turns 100

Martin was the commencement speaker at the 2007 Tech graduation

Chatham resident and artist Elinor Martin celebrated her 100th birthday on February 13, 2012 at the Hidden Cove Restaurant at Cape Cod Regional Technical High School with School Superintendent Robert P. Sanborn III (pictured above).

Martin was a long-time volunteer at the school, beginning in 1998 and retiring in June 2010 at the age of 98. She was named “Volunteer of the Year” in 2000 and 2006, and was the Commencement Speaker for the 2007 graduation ceremony.
