Three indicted for murder in Hyannis

July 2012 murder in "The Wedge" solved

District Attorney Michael O’Keefe announced Friday that a Barnstable County Grand Jury returned indictments against three men in connection with the murder of Andrew Stanley of Hyannis in July, 2012.

David Evans, 25, of 10 Highpoint Circle, Quincy; Eddie A. Mack, Jr., 25, of 75 Lenox Street, Roxbury; and Keiko Thomas, 21, of 390 Bearse’s Way, Hyannis have all been indicted in Barnstable Superior Court with the following charges: murder in the first degree; home invasion; armed assault in a dwelling; armed robbery and carrying a firearm without a license, according to a statement from the DA's Office.

On July 11, 2012, at approximately 1:20 pm, Barnstable Police responded to a report of a shooting at 30 Otis Road, Hyannis. As they arrived, multiple gunshots were heard. Barnstable Police observed two males exiting the house and a third male running from the house. After a pursuit, all three subjects were apprehended by Barnstable Police Detectives and Patrol Units. Guns and money were recovered in the vicinity of the suspects. Upon entry into the house, another male identified as Andrew Stanley of Hyannis, 25, was found shot to death.

The case remains under investigation by the Barnstable Police Department and the State Police Detective Unit attached to the Cape & Islands District Attorney’s Office. The cases will be prosecuted by First Assistant District Attorney, Michael A. Trudeau.
