A Barnstable County Grand Jury Wednesday indicted 31-year-old Adrian T. Loya of Virginia on 30 counts in connection with the shooting death of a Bourne woman. According to a Cape & Islands District Attorney's Office release, Loya shot and killed 31-year-old Lisa Trubnikova of 11 Round House Road in Bourne on February 5. Trubnikova's spouse, 30-year-old Anna Trubnikova was wounded in the shooting. Loya also fired on Bourne Police Officer Jared MacDonald who responded to the early morning call.
Loya and his two female victims were all members on the United States Coast Guard.
The grand jury indicted Loya on murder, armed assault to murder (3 indictments), aggravated assault and battery (3 indictments), armed home invasion (2 indictments), armed assault in dwelling (2 indictments), use of a firearm in the commission of a felony (3 indictments), armed kidnapping with serious bodily injury (2 indictments), burglary and assault on occupant, arson of a motor vehicle, possession of a hoax device, assault and battery on a police officer and possession of a large capacity feeding device (10 indictments).
Loya has been held without bail since his arrest on February 5. "This is the culmination of months of work by many police agencies and the United States Coast Guard and the District Attorney's Office," Cape & Islands District Attorney Michael O'Keefe said. "This important stage of a tragic case has been completed."
A date has not yet been set for Loya's arraingment in Barnstable Superior Court, the release said.
