Sandwich seasonal residents public forum set for July 23

Part-time residents will have the opportunity to address selectmen

The Town of Sandwich will hold a seasonal residents pubic forum on Thursday, July 23 at 7 p.m. at the Sandwich Town Hall on Main Street. During the forum, part-time residents will have the opportunity to address Sandwich selectmen.

The high percentage of non-resident taxpayers who own second homes on Cape Cod has lead to the creation of non-profit organizations in several Cape Cod towns. Brewster, Eastham, Harwich Orleans, Provincetown, Truro and Wellfleet all have non-resident taxpayer organizations. Sandwich does not have such an organization.

The Sandwich seasonal residents public forum, gives this unique taxpaying group a voice in town government. The public forum is part of the Sandwich Board of Selectmen meeting on the 23rd.
