Cotuit paving project to resume October 9

Putnam Ave. will be down to one lane on Friday

The Barnstable Department of Public Works announced that the paving of Putnam Ave. in Cotuit will resume at 7 a.m. on Friday, October 9. If the weather permits, the paving should be completed by the end of the day.

The work will begin promptly at 7 a.m. and will continue until 5 p.m. During that time, travel will be limited to one lane.

Motorists should expect delays. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes during the work period. Police officers will be present to guide motorists.

Both lanes will be reopened to traffic at 5 p.m., the DPW said.
