Town of Brewster seeks snow plow drivers

Applicants must have their own trucks and plows

The Town of Brewster is seeking snow plow drivers for this coming winter. All applicants must have their own trucks and plows. 

All trucks must be inspected by the Brewster Department of Public Works foreman. Plower drivers who do not carry workers compensation liability insurance must sign a waiver. Drivers must submit a copy of their commercial driver's license. Proof of drug and alcohol testing is also required if the gross weight of the truck exceeds 26,000 pounds.

Applications and inspections will be finalized by November 20. 

All contractors will be guaranteed a minimum of three hours. Drivers entering into an agreement with the Town of Brewster must be prepared for the season by November 20. All contract equipment must be on call 24-hours a day, according to the agreement.
