Dennis oyster giveaway set for November

Just in time for Thanksgiving

Just in time for Thanksgiving, the Town of Dennis oyster giveway is set for Sunday, November 22. A valid residential household shellfish permit is required to participate.

There is a limit of 24 oysters per permit.

The giveaway will begin at 12 p.m. at Corporation Beach of Route 6A in Dennis.

The town is asking permit holders to give back during the giveway by bringing canned goods and/or other non-perishable items. The donations collected at the event will be given to a local food pantry.

The giveaway will be conducted by the Town of Dennis Department of Natural Resources. Annual shellfishing licenses are available at a cost of $20 for Dennis residents, $65 for non-residents and $3 for Dennis residents over 70. To learn about obtaining your shellfishing license, visit the town's website here.
