Manuel P. Lopes, IIIHYANNIS - Manuel P. Lopes, III, "Manny" 42, passed away peacefully with family at his side, Feb. 13, 2016 at Cape Cod Hospital. He was the son of Manuel P. Lopes, Jr. and Patricia (Pina) Lopes.Born in Hyannis in 1974, Manny lived all his life on Cape Cod. He had a profound love for his family and friends. His sense of humor and smile could light up a room, genuinely a kind hearted person, the type of man that would give you the shirt of his back. Manny had many occupations including commercial truck driving, landscaping, and masonry. As an avid sports fan, he had great knowledge of many sports; he played sports when he was young and loved dirt bike racing, ranking number 1 ine New England two years in a row. Although Manny was full of life, love, and laughter, he also battled with addiction for many years, which eventually caused health issues that contributed to his final days.In addition to his parents, Manny leavse behind three children: Hailey Lopes of Mobile, AL, Manuel P. Lopes, IV of Marion, MA, and Daivani Rose of Bourne, MA. One brother, Anthony J. Rose, Jr. (TR) of Hyannis, MA; three sisters, Lisa Rose of Yulee, FL, Lyn Lambert of West Barnstable, MA, and Kimberly Lopes-Costa (KLO) of Mashpee, MA. He also leaves a grandson, Brayson, a niece, nine nephews, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Doane, Beal, and Ames Funeral Home at 160 W. Main St., Hyannis, MA 02601.
